Coming soon: Premier Access, the new name for our priority airport services available when you fly United or Continental: priority check-in, priority security checkpoint access (where offered), priority boarding lanes at the gate, and priority baggage handling. Learn more.

Here are a few of the ways we put 1K® members first:

First on the phone: 1K 1Call
To receive personal assistance in booking your worldwide flights, you or your travel professional have a direct line to our dedicated 1K reservations service in the U.S., Canada, and several locations in Asia, Australia, Europe, and Central America. In other areas, your local United Reservations office will assist you. For a directory of elite reservations phone numbers, please visit unitedairlines.com.au/wwcontacts.

1K priority reservations
You have priority status to acquire seats on United flights, even on many sold out flights, on all United and United Express® flights anywhere. However for all priority reservations for you, and one traveling companion, you must call 1K Reservations no later than six hours before your flight and no earlier than thirty* days in advance, and purchase a ticket in United Economy® Y booking class fares.

First in line: Priority check-in
Check-in for your United flights at the counters designated specifically for you. If no Premier line exists, you are welcome to check-in with our United First® customers at most major terminals in the U.S. and Canada. On international flights, you may check-in with our United Business® customers.

You may also use Priority check-in counters when flying on any of our Star Alliance® member carriers. Look for the "Star Alliance Gold" sign for your Priority check-in position.

Priority baggage handling
Your checked bags get priority treatment and are among the first off the flight when you fly United or Continental.

United Economy Plus®
Economy Plus seating is complimentary for 1K members and up to eight (8) family members traveling together under the same confirmation number as a 1K member. Economy Plus is an exclusive area of 6 to 11 rows in the United Economy® cabin, offering up to five (5) additional inches of legroom. Advance seating is available at the time of booking on a first-come, first-served basis, and the member must also have elite status at the time of travel to retain reserved Economy Plus seats. Economy Plus is available on all United aircraft.

Priority on the waitlist
If a United flight you want is full, you can be added to the waitlist for seats that may become available. Your waitlist status is determine by your MileagePlus status and then by the fare you purchased, with higher fares getting higher priority. For award travel, your place on the waitlist is determined first by status, then by the time your request is made.

* Reservations for United Airlines flights to Hawaii must be booked within seven days of departure.
