Shanghai Airlines is the fifth largest carrier in China and has operations at both Hongqiao International and Pudong International airports in Shanghai, China. Shanghai Airlines has developed routes reaching most of the large and medium cities throughout China as well as ten international destinations in the Asia / Pacific region, including Hong Kong; Osaka, Japan; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Phuket, Thailand and Seoul, Korea.
Effective October 31, 2010, our partnership with Shanghai Airlines will end. You may continue to earn miles on Shanghai Airlines flights taken on or before October 31, 2010. You will have until April 30, 2011 to request retro credit for flights taken on or before October 31, 2010. Any new Star Alliance Award ticketing on Shanghai Airlines must be ticketed and flown by October 31, 2010. Existing Star Alliance Award tickets issued for travel after October 31, 2010 will be honored by Shanghai Airlines.
Present your MileagePlus® number when making reservations and you can earn:
*As of July 1, 2008, all travel on Shanghai Airlines credited to the MileagePlus program accrues actual miles, with no minimum.
The miles accrued are determined by the operating airline. Please note that the booking class shown on your ticket may differ from the booking class relevant for mileage accrual.
Ensure your MileagePlus number is in your reservation at check-in. But if you do not receive your miles go to Retro Credit.
